Celebrating the 2000 Millennium

Challenge:

A high profile client sought to create a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration for its clients to bring in the new century.

Solution:

The client enlisted Kevin Corcoran to plan and produce the evening’s festivities. Kevin selected the famed Minskoff Theater lobby as the perfect setting overlooking New York City’s Times Square. Working closely with the NYPD and the co-producers from the Nederlander Organization, Kevin’s production team ushered the event’s 350 attendees into one of the most tightly-monitored areas in the world.  To the music of one of NYC’s hottest DJ’s, guests enjoyed cocktails from several full bars and catered hors d’oeuvres and danced into the early hours of the morning.

The highlight of the event was a champagne toast at midnight as guests watched the legendary New Year’s ball drop against a backdrop of record-setting Time Square crowds.

Result:

Among the largest private gatherings in Times Square that historic evening, the celebration was an unforgettable New Year’s experience for the client’s special guests. “Where else would anyone want to be on this big night but in New York City’s Times Square almost floating above 2 million people,” said the client. “Our own private party with 350 family and friends in the most exciting location anywhere!”
